In this tutorial we will use the following convention
to refer to a menu command: menu title->menu item. For
example Animate->Add Keyframe is the Add Keyframe command
from the Animate menu.
- Select File->Open and open the Liberty Dance
file. This file has two layers created from the same image. The Background
layer contains the sky and base of the statue. The Liberty layer
is the statue itself with a mask created with Composer's outline masking
tool. The image for the Background layer was first brought into
Adobe Photoshop where the cloning tool was used to fill in the area behind
the statue. In the next few steps, we will show you how these layers are
arranged and how the mask was created (just to give you an idea of how
this file was set up). Then we'll proceed with creating an animation.
- Click in the second column for the Liberty layer in the layers
palette. This will hide the Liberty layer. Notice how this layer
sits on top of the Background layer.
Click on the second column again to make the Liberty layer visible.
